Argentine Tango teacher and author of the book When 1+1=1: That "Impossible" Connection - about life and human connection through the prism of tango - is traveling the world, sharing the life lessons she has gathered from dance floors from Buenos Aires to Europe and all over North America through interactive book and tango presentations and tango workshops centered around the goal of developing the connection in tango.
Since releasing her book in 2011, she has danced her way around Europe; driven and danced around the United States and into Canada (visiting 70 cities in 34 states); taught tango workshops from Prague to San Diego to Florida; presented her book in galleries, cafés, bookstores, and libraries from Los Angeles to Montreal; and read on open mic stages (even to live music) in New Orleans, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and more! She is excited to take what people are now calling her World Book & Tango Tour to Europe, Turkey, SE Asia, and back to Seattle this September-December 2013.
Her book, When 1+1=1 - with titles such as "'Mistakes' Are Just Unanticipated Opportunities" and "High Heels and Yellow Hippopotamuses" - is suitable for a much broader audience than just tango enthusiasts, so it can be a great way to reach people interested in connection on all levels. (excerpts and readers' reviews)
Gabriela also teaches connection-centered tango workshops and private lessons (for follows, leads, and couples) on topics such as:
Tango is About the Connection | Fundamentals of Four-Leggedness | Good Things Happen in Small Spaces | Be the Music | Ladies' Footplay | Tango: A Game of Improvisation | Intention: Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say | Presence: A New Flavor of Chocolate | Let's Play Footsie... and more!
“I have found these topics applicable throughout my travels to many tango communities in North America, Europe, and in Buenos Aires. What we find most memorable in human interactions and in tango is usually on the inside; it's invisible. That is why I approach teaching tango from the inside-out.”

Gabriela would love to include your community in her Book & Tango Tour. Any suggestions you might have about other organizers or groups to contact would be much appreciated, as well. Thank you for being a part of this adventure!
